One (100%) PM/2nd shift position with benefits starting on the date of hire.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervises custodial and linen staff.
-Performs a wide variety of duties related to environmental services to include healthcare specific housekeeping, floor and carpet care, and biohazardous waste process according to established procedures and quality standards.
-Ensure compliance with departmental sanitation and hygiene standards.
-Assists in establishing and monitoring appropriate supply levels of items necessary for assigned work areas.
-Obtains patient satisfaction questionnaires.
-Assists in training, mentoring and coaching new and current employees.
-Hires new employees.
-Conducts performance reviews.
-Administers disciplinary action upon consultation with human resources.
Qualifications:
-Must have a minimum of three (3) years of custodial experience including one year of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations and follow oral and written instructions.
-Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring and coaching personnel.
-Strong organizational skills with demonstrated, independent ability to set priorities and manage conflicting demands with limited supervision.
-Demonstrated analytical and problems solving skills.
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with demonstrated experience applying good judgment and discretion.
-Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.
-Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas; and a creative and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a large, complex organization.
-Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
-Have demonstrated knowledge of personnel management and labor relations and demonstrated ability to apply clinical and business judgment, management concepts, and counseling for all personnel on daily operational issues.
