One Per Diem position available

Duties and responsibilities: Functions as a member of the Pulmonary Physiology diagnostic lab team. Maintains a safe environment for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic pulmonary tests relating to cardiopulmonary physiology. Performs complex tests involving lung mechanics and arterial blood gases. Operates and troubleshoots state-of-the-art diagnostic and PC-based equipment. Contributes to and participates in organizing workday activities, customer support and satisfaction, training and education of staff, and performance improvement. Works cooperatively with other team members and other cross-functional departments to ensure tests are performed in a timely manner and within lab quality standards.

Special conditions of employment: Must possess a valid California state certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and a current CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Must be certified by the Medical Director of Pulmonary Function in the independent performance of Exercise Testing. CPFT preferred

Qualifications: Must have previous Respiratory Therapist experience. Must be able to demonstrate and apply knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology. Must be able to work cooperatively with other staff and team members. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
