PROGRAMMER ANALYST SUPERVISOR - KIDNEY TRANSPLANT 334543-Z San Diego

Location: San Diego, CA - Hillcrest

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Responsible for the operational administration and network management of all transplant database servers and workstations.

·         Supervision of daily system monitoring, storage media management, user management, network management, quality control and performance monitoring; study monitoring; patient information management; training for new and ongoing users, trouble-shooting and problem solving, security, development and monitoring of policies and procedures, providing proactive supervision of technical administration, planning, coordination, and documentation.

·         Develops and implements contingency plan for system downtime.

·         Makes recommendations for system improvements and cost savings.

·         Participates in 7/24 problem management support and resolution for clinical systems.

·         Acts as liaison between Transplant Services and other departments within the Medical Center.

·         Provides inservices, training, direction, support, and mentoring to others as needed. Fosters creative and quality conscious work environment.

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

·         Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·        A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience; Associate degree in a related field; or a combination of relevant experience and education.

·         Previous supervisory experience.

·         Knowledge and experience working with EPIC clinical data and Clarity.

·         Knowledge and expert experience working with Transact SQL.

·         Knowledge and experience with computer programming, computer language and expert reporting and trend analysis.

·         Knowledge and experience of database management technologies.

·         Working knowledge of networks and connectivity.

·         Knowledge of all MS Office software applications.

·         Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.  

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently setting priorities to meet deadlines.

·         Excellent ability to work in a group setting and group projects.

·         Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is visible, accessible, and open to new ideas; and a creative and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a large, complex organization.

·         Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

 

PREFERRED:

·         Experience with Teleresults or transplant software.

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Info Technology, or verifiable industry Certifications

·         Bilingual: English/Spanish
